Freestanding Baths

A freestanding bath serves as the centrepiece of your bathroom. Unlike a standard fitted tub, a stand-alone bathtub functions as a sculpture, allowing you to play with the bathroom's architecture by placing the bath at the centre of the space or beneath a window. This 360-degree visibility creates a sense of openness and fluidity, turning the bath into a deliberate design choice rather than just a utility.

It is about the ritual of the soak. We focus heavily on the tactile nature of our materials—the cool, solid weight of marble, the matte velvet finish of our signature stone baths, or the traditional heat-retention of cast iron. These materials don’t just look superior; they hold their temperature longer, allowing for a deeper, more restorative experience. Whether you’re drawn to the clean, sharp lines of a modern silhouette or the softened edges of a classic slipper bath, the intent is the same: to create a private retreat that feels entirely separate from the rest of the home.

Space shouldn't be a barrier to high-end design. Our collection of freestanding baths spans grand, double-ended tubs that command a master suite to compact, deep-soaking models specifically engineered for smaller en-suites. By pairing these forms with floor-standing taps or integrated shower functionality, you gain a level of versatility that elevates the daily routine into something far more indulgent.

Transform Your Bathroom with Luxury Freestanding Bath

A freestanding bath does more than serve a practical purpose; it naturally becomes the centrepiece of the bathroom and helps set the tone for the whole space. Once you've chosen the right shape and style, the rest of the room tends to come together around it, from the lighting and materials to the overall layout. We often suggest pairing a freestanding bath with stone basins and floor-standing taps that complement its look and feel. The aim is to create a space that feels considered without trying too hard.Often, it’s the quieter design choices that have the biggest impact. Keeping the floor area open with wall-mounted storage or a slim vanity unit can make the room feel calmer, lighter, and more spacious, which is something many luxury bathrooms get exactly right.

Caring for your Freestanding Bath Made Easy

Some think that freestanding baths, especially those in stone or marble, are high-maintenance. They aren't. Because we use solid, high-grade materials, they’re actually remarkably resilient. You can skip the aggressive chemicals and usually a quick wipe with a soft cloth and a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner is all it takes to keep the finish looking as it did on day one. It’s a very small amount of effort for a centrepiece designed to last as long as the house itself. For further guidance, read our how to clean stone baths and marble maintenance guides

You’ll need to think about the weight-bearing capacity of your joists, where the waste is going to run, and how the light hits the material at different times of day. It can be a lot to juggle.
