Q: How do I maintain a stone bath?
A: Stone resin is a low maintenance material, small steps can be taken to ensure the prolonged beauty of your bath including rinsing and drying of the surface after use to ensure soap scum isn’t present. The stone material requires frequent cleaning with warm, soapy water and dried with a soft cloth. Depending on the finish of your stone product cleaning techniques may differ. Our stone cleaner can also be used to enhance and refresh the look of stone resin.
Q: Are stone baths better than acrylic baths?
A: In comparison to acrylic baths, stone resin is a superior choice for its tactile surface, purity and renewable material. Stone resin can also be completely recycled back to its natural state making it more eco-friendly to the environment. Whereas acrylic baths are more liable to scratching, and far less easily repaired than a stone resin bath. More information on how to care for your stone bath is available in our cleaning and care guide.
Q: Do I need any extra parts for my bath?
A: We would recommend a 40mm hepvo valve to attach a bath - this will help with any smells and also the flow rate. We also have a selection of accessories and fittings including bath wastes, bath caddies and headrest pillows. Further information regarding installation of a LUSSO stone bath is available in our installation guide
Q: How fast should water drain from my bath?
A: The water should drain from the bath at 12 litres per minute.

A: Yes, a freestanding bath can in fact create an illusion of space in a small bathroom. We have compact designs and sizes starting from 1200mm which are suitable for smaller sized bathrooms.
Q: Can I have a shower over a freestanding bath?
A: Yes, showers can be installed over any type of bath. We have a selection of Wall Mounted Thermostatic Showers with Bath Spouts and Bath Shower Mixer Taps which offer a bath tap and shower in one. A: Stone resin is exceptional at retaining heat, resulting in a long-lasting bathing experience. In comparison to acrylic baths, stone baths can retain heat up to ten times more due to their durability.
Q: Does stone resin discolour?
A: The limestone we use to create stone resin is purified and cleaned ensuring the resin product is of a radiant, natural white finish. The material is colour resistant, ensuring it doesn't lose its colour and remains intact for time to come. However, darker tones can be more conspicuous of scratches than a white bath.
Q: Are stone resin baths sustainable?
A: Stone Resin is a naturally sourced material, it ensures natural replacement and repair, and is completely recyclable if you ever wish to discard your bath. The renewable material is kind to the environment, as the naturally quarried limestone is grounded into a fine powder before being mixed with clear resin.
