Lusso x Katie Watkinson Interiors

Known for creating spaces that are both beautiful and liveable, Katie Watkinson Interiors incorporates timeless designs into luxury properties. Here we talk with the design studio about its latest project - the renovation of a six bedroom family home in the heart of Guildford, which beautifully showcases Lusso fixtures and fittings.

Katie, owner of the Hertfordshire-based practice, tells us, “We love the style and quality of all of the Lusso collections. The price point is also really appealing as you are buying luxury quality products that don’t break the bank.” 

As testament to Katie’s confidence in Lusso collections, the large property features our Oasis freestanding stone bath and floorstanding bath tap in one bathroom, as well as a bespoke Crema Marfil marble basin, chrome brassware and Volini vanity unit throughout the others. “Lusso stone baths are not only beautiful, but the quality is incredible'' adds Katie.

In addition to stunning bathrooms, the Guildford home features a large open plan family, dining, and kitchen area which sits centrally within the property. Complete with steel-framed windows and doors, fluted panelling, and a minimal aesthetic, the interior design focuses on providing practicality as well as serenity.

Katie explains: “The overall colour palette was composed of warm neutral tones and textures, while each space has its own unique colour accent. I love designing open plan living spaces as they are the heart of the home. Our clients spend so much of their time in this area of their home that it is essential it flows for them as a family.”

Specialising in working with homeowners who want to inject luxury throughout their living spaces, Katie has gained a wealth of experience since setting up the practice. For anyone embarking on their renovation journey, she advises: “Really study the floor plans and how you will be using each room. Creating a furniture layout early on will dictate everything from door locations, lighting and electrical positions, window dressings and joinery.”

“A lot of our clients have children so we also always consider longevity, and quality plays a big part in our business too.”
