INSTALLATION TIPS
Before placing your order, always refer to the sizing and technical details available in the product PDF on each item’s page. As Lusso is not an installation provider, you will need to arrange a fully qualified fitting company to carry out the work.
Accurate measurement is essential. Ensure your bathroom has been thoroughly measured to confirm that your chosen product will fit comfortably - use our tip of measure twice, install once. We also recommend waiting until your product has arrived and has been safely inspected before confirming any installation dates.
Please note: taps are not included with our baths and basins, allowing you the freedom to select a style that suits your space. Our stone basins are supplied with no pre-drilled tap holes, giving you the choice between deck-mounted or wall-mounted brassware.
CLEANING & CARE
Cortese® Stone Composite is smooth, durable and resilient, designed to provide a lifetime of beauty when maintained correctly. For everyday use, we advise rinsing and drying the basin after use to prevent soap residue, marks and water spotting.
A monthly clean is recommended at minimum - or more frequently if used daily - using warm soapy water or the Lusso Stone Cleaning Solution. This preserves the basin’s radiant surface and prevents the build-up of stubborn grime.
Deeper marks can be treated according to your basin’s finish:
-
Matte basins can typically be restored at home using a fine sanding pad.
-
Polished basins may require the expertise of a professional stone mason for a flawless repair.
For complete guidance, refer to our Stone Aftercare information.
HOW TO REPAIR YOUR STONE BASIN
As a renewable material, Cortese® Stone Composite allows minor scratches to be removed with simple refinishing steps:
-
Use a fine-grit sanding pad (approximately 400–600 grit).
-
Sand in a straight motion, switching direction intermittently.
-
Continue until the scratch is fully removed and the area blends with the surrounding surface.
-
Rinse the basin and wipe clean.
-
To minimise dust, keep the surface slightly damp and rinse periodically.
For deeper scratches or if damage remains visible, we recommend consulting a professional stone specialist for further restoration.
