How to Clean & Maintain Your Lusso Light Bath

Our exclusive Lusso Light material is strong, smooth and seamless acrylic material that is designed to last. However, regular cleaning is required to maintain the immaculate state of the material.

HOW DO YOU CLEAN AND REMOVE STAINS FROM AN ACRYLIC BATH?

Cleaning an acrylic bath is simple and easy, there are steps you should take to avoid mildew and stains. After every use, you should use a damp sponge or microfibre cleaning cloth along with a non-abrasive cleaning liquid or cream to clean the bath. Acrylic baths with a matte finish are supplied with sanding pads for tough dirt spots and stains. Due to its composition, acrylic can often react with harsh and abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the surface and leave stains. To fully clean an acrylic bathtub, use cleaning implements that are gentle on the surface such as non-abrasive cleaning solutions and materials. Different types of stains can become apparent on acrylic surfaces, including rust, general dirt stains and yellow stains caused by hard water. To remove harsh stains you should use a cleaning product designed to remove stains from acrylic products. Simply, apply the stain remover solution over the affected surfaces, and leave it for an hour. Rub the stains with a sponge, then wipe the entire tub followed by a rinse of clean water. Your acrylic bath should then be back to its original state. Some stains may prove difficult to remove and may require professional cleaning.

DO'S AND DON'TS

✔ Use soft tools and pads to clean your bath’s stains as this will prevent the tub from becoming scratched and damaged.
✔ Keep air flowing around you when you’re cleaning and ensure all windows and doors are open.
✔ Test products before you use them so you are certain they will not cause damage to your acrylic bath.
✔ Rinse your bathtub down several times when you’re finished cleaning it. This will remove any excess product, it will also put an end to any dangerous chemicals that you’ve used.
✗ Avoid using tough scourers to clean your bathtub, as these pads will mark the surface.
✗ Don’t use harsh chemicals to clean your bathtub’s stains, not all products are suitable, so you should check before you start cleaning.
