Our marble collection began with striking marble baths, basins and vanity units, sourced from a solid block of marble making each piece unique. Including Italian Carrara, Arabescato and Pietra Grey as well as the distinctive Tiffany. Since the launch of Lusso in 2014, we have rapidly expanded our marble range with homeware and tiles, as well as more basins and baths such as the award-winning Lamp collection. Calacatta Viola is also one of the latest marbles to be featured across our collections. Extracted from the Apuan mountains in Italy, the unique stone displays deep tones of violets and light shades of lilac against a white crisp base.
Our marble designs are extracted naturally from quarries around the world, where a single block is carefully selected for its quality and character. Skilled artisans first extract the marble using precise cutting techniques to minimise waste and preserve the integrity of the stone. The block is then transported where it is meticulously inspected and prepared. Expert artisans use advanced tools to cut and shape the marble, honing or polishing its surface to achieve a flawless finish. Each step, from quarrying to final polishing, ensures that the marble maintains its natural beauty and strength.
The marble process can vary significantly depending on the complexity of the design. Generally, the entire process - from quarrying the marble to the final product - can take anywhere from several weeks to several months.
As Lusso’s marble is natural it means it is likely to last a lifetime making it much more of a sustainable option than artificial marble that is composed of crushed marble or other stone mixed with resins.
