What type of marble is used throughout Lusso’s marble homeware collection?
Throughout our marble homeware collection, we use some of the finest marble from across the world including Italian Arabescato and Carrara. We also use Pietra Grey, sourced from the Middle East, as well as Nero Marquina and Crema Marfil which are both quarried in Spain.
Is marble homeware a sustainable option?
Yes, when properly cared for, marble can last a lifetime making it a much more sustainable option than plastic or fast furniture that’s destined for landfill in a relatively short time frame. At Lusso, we offer a lifetime guarantee across our entire marble homeware range, as well as our marble baths and basins.
Does everything in the marble homeware range have a matching pattern?
There are visual commonalities between pieces of marble homeware that are unique to the relevant marble type, however, every piece of marble has unique patterning and tones, which means no two pieces are exactly alike.
How do I maintain marble homeware?
Marble ages beautifully over time, however to maintain its appearance you should avoid cleaning marble homeware with bleach or abrasive and acidic substances, and ensure that your marble homeware does not get excessively wet. To keep pieces clean, simply dampen a soft cloth with a mild soap solution, wipe, and gently dry.
How long does genuine marble differ from artificial marble?
Genuine marble is a natural stone formed over millions of years, while artificial marble (sometimes referred to as engineered or cultured marble) is a man made material composed of crushed marble or other stone mixed with resins.
