Step Inside This Glamorous 1860’s Bathroom

Glamorous, rich and elegant, we take a look at this 1860s bathroom which has been completely transformed into a fusion of modern and traditional interior themes. The bathroom boasts beautiful tiling, smooth matte stone and radiant shades of gold, finished off with stunning deep marble accents.

In keeping with the 1860s build of the house, the bathroom doesn’t strip its traditional elements. Not forgetting its heritage, this includes classical coving, curvaceous shapes and linear elements.

We interviewed Rosie Dhotar from @theforeverdreamhouse who told us all about the design and inspirations for this space, which includes our new and exclusive Porto collection, our Deco vanity unit and striking brushed gold accessories.

What would you say is most important to you when it comes to bathroom design?

When it comes to bathroom design for me it’s about functionality but also about creating a luxurious space that the minute I walk into I can relax and unwind.

What aesthetic were you looking to achieve when designing your bathroom?

When designing this bathroom I wanted to create the wow factor from the minute you opened the door. I have always loved brass and I knew my master en-suite needed to be special and represent my personality. I  wanted every corner to feel opulent and to create richness and warmth, which Lusso oozes.

What was it that attracted you to our Porto collection?

The Porto collection drew me in the minute I saw it. The clean functionality of the Pietra grey marble controls against the brushed gold looked so sumptuous, I knew It was going to be perfect.

You have used our Eaton vanity unit from our Deco collection, what was it about this particular piece that made you choose it?

The Eaton vanity unity from the Deco collection is so glamorous. The clean elegant lines seamlessly blend into the background of the contemporary beautiful bathroom. The Matt white surface is so chic as is the Carrara marble top and upstand.

Which is your favourite Lusso product?

My favourite Lusso product has to be the biggest statement in this bathroom (and in size) the Mayfair brushed gold shower screen. Its huge brushed gold border gives the whole bathroom that extra luxe feel plus the matching square shower waste cover makes me so happy. It’s these simple matching touches which have made this room my pride and joy.

Overall, how did you find the service from Lusso?

The service from Lusso throughout has been wonderful and nothing but simple. They have kept me updated throughout on the delivery times of all the products so I was able to manage my renovation brilliantly.

Do you have any upcoming projects you would like to share with us?

I will most definitely be using Lusso again for our next project, the downstairs wet room.
