The Lusso Story

Although we’re only eight years into the Lusso journey, we’ve quickly grown to become one of the UK’s leading luxury brands and along the way we’ve hit many incredible milestones. Here we’ve highlighted some of the most impactful moments in our company history to show just how far the brand has come in less than a decade. No matter what your background or business aim is, if you’ve got a clear vision of what you want to achieve and the drive to get you there, anything is possible.


The company was founded (originally under the name of Milano Stone) by our CEO, Wayne Spriggs, and we launched our first collection of stone resin baths and basins.


We changed our trading and brand name to Lusso Stone, moved into our first commercial office, and won our first significant commercial contract with the Connaught Group to provide freestanding baths in two of London’s most prestigious five star hotels – Claridge’s and The Connaught in Mayfair.


Thanks to rapid growth, we quickly outgrew our warehouse facilities so relocated to much larger premises to meet increased demand from homeowners and hoteliers for our ranges of baths, basins and brassware.


We were appointed by an impressive number of leading hotels and resorts to provide bathroom fixtures and fittings for luxury suites, including the Sugar Beach Resort in St Lucia, the Galle Face Hotel and Ulagalla Resort in Sri Lanka, and the Hotel des Deux Domaines in French Alps, as well as many UK destinations such as the Finn Lough Resort, Tewin Bury Farm Hotel, Shaw Hill Golf Resort and Spa Hotel, Mercure Shrewsbury Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa, Ockenden Manor Hotel, The Bull Shed, and The Runnymede.


We were honoured to be ranked 18th in The Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100, an award that recognises Britain’s top 100 private companies based on the fastest-growing sales over the last three years, as a testament to our outstanding growth (you can read more about Fast Track leagues here), and began moving forward with plans to expand the company in terms of size, reach and product ranges.


By strengthening our brand across the globe, we gained more international customers than ever before. This led to our collections being featured in a growing number of prestigious properties throughout the world – including the Equinox Hotel in New York – and helped us secure 6th place in The Sunday Times WorldFirst SME Export Track league table. For the second year running, we were also placed in The Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100.


Lusso was once again ranked within The Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 as we continued to experience rapid growth. We also acquired further commercial contracts from high-end hotels and developers, including The Gilpin Hotel Spa & Lodges, and published our first coffee table book while we prepared for a monumental 2021.


During our most eventful year to date, we launched two new collections alongside our tremendously successful Lusso Stone range – our Pietra collection offers freestanding baths and basins exclusively carved from marble, and our Deco collection features baths, basins, brassware, vanity units and homewares inspired by the iconic Art Deco movement. 

We were also placed 23rd on The Sunday Times Profit Track League – an annual league table published in association with The Sunday Times newspaper in the UK that ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits within the last three years. Lusso Stone was extremely proud to eventually be a part of this enviable league, sitting alongside renowned household brands such as Gymshark, Fever-Tree, Brewdog and Virgin Money.

We were also ranked as the fastest-growing medium business in the Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 Awards, and our CEO was named as the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. In addition, we continued to secure further commercial opportunities such as furnishing all of the bathrooms in One Charter Street, Canary Wharf’s luxury aparthotel, we gained increasing media attention and featured in everything from The Mirror to Grand Designs, and we published our own luxury living magazine.

We also ended the year on a high by opening the doors to our amazing new luxury headquarters. With over 12,000 square feet across three floors, the bespoke offices enable us to deliver an unrivalled consultation experience to our VIP clients, and provide our team with spacious hotdesking facilities, breakout areas, a showroom area, meeting rooms and pods, plus a number of social spaces including an espresso station, relaxation nooks, a fully equipped gym, and a licensed bar (click here to see inside).


Less than two months into 2022 and we’ve started strong by unveiling our hardware line which includes door handles, furniture knobs and bars. This year we’ve also launched our Lusso Creative range, which allows you to customise baths, vanity units and accessories in your chosen paint finish and colour, and we’ve broken all previous sales records by receiving £1million worth of orders in a single week.

We’re currently gearing up to hit our next major milestone by the end of Q1 – the launch of dedicated online stores for customers in the US, France, Germany and Italy – and a little later in the year we’ll be launching our own luxury lighting, paint, tiling and furniture collections in addition to our current ranges.
