With a signature style of relaxed glamour and an ethos to give clients a ‘slice of luxury’, Cathy and her team over at Studio Dean have done exactly that with this North-East loft suite, placing cosmopolitan chic into a seaside home nestled in the heart of Seaburn.
The suite, formerly split into three rooms, has been transformed into an open plan spot of relaxation, now appreciating the sea-view landscape that was previously ignored upon the client’s purchase. The renowned interior design studio, based in the North East, has worked their expertise to incorporate a boutique hotel feel to this unappreciated space and since doing so, the final result is everything you’d expect in a high-end stay. The Lusso Picasso Freestanding Bath is a breathtaking touch.
The proposal for the space was to initiate a homely feel with grand use of texture and neutrals, eliminating colour and tradition – two things the client did not want to include. In keeping with the proposition, Studio Dean has used a soft neutral palette running throughout, utilising pops of navy – the client’s favourite deep blue – with muted pastels as well as the addition of our signature Picasso freestanding tub in the unique Grigio Earth colourway, part of our Silk collection, that works cohesively well with the rest of the decor to set a calming mood of the room. Due to the beauty of the tub, the interior designers opted for matching Grigio Earth basins in the striking Soho silhouette – smooth, curvaceous and ultimately show-stopping in both design and quality. There’s something about the feature lighting that heightens the aesthetic further, bouncing off the Rose Gold Lusso Brassware to add a sense of regality and spotlight glamour to the loft.
This space is the perfect example that luxury is achievable even when working on a budget, and the design studio has gone to extra lengths to ensure that accessible grandeur is present throughout, including a bespoke MDF headboard, a floor transition from wood to tile as well as seamlessly blending the door with the wall to enhance the space rather than focus on its exit point.
Well done to Cathy and her team at Studio Dean, this has got to be one of our favourite projects.
