Lusso x The Tree House

The only thing more tranquil than a treehouse escape is a treehouse equipped with some of the finest spa-esque furnishings, and courtesy of Sand and Stone Escapes, you can experience it all from this stunning treetop retreat.

Secluded in a woodland valley on a private estate, The Tree House is exactly what it says in the name – a beautiful tree house perched in the trees that overlook natural woodland. Handcrafted from Oak and Cedar by artisan carpenters, the rustic getaway is spread across two floors and sleeps two, making the perfect romantic vacation.

With its woody composure throughout, the treehouse is designed to offer warmth and cosiness, with its rustic appeal allowing you to immerse in fine country living. Its first floor allows you to kick back and relax in an open plan sitting room and enhancing the rustic them even further, the cabin features a log burner. On the first floor, as well as the living area, is the incredible Picasso freestanding bath that makes the perfect place to appreciate serenity and relaxation, staged in front of the cabin’s bi-folding doors to beautifully demonstrate indoor/outdoor living. The bathroom also contains our Oasis basins as a double feature, ideal for an uncluttered couples getaway. Finishing off this well-thought interior is the Lusso matte black range, adding a touch of contemporary luxe to this traditional and naturalistic property.

Once you’ve enjoyed relaxing in the Picasso, the upper level hosts a beautiful mezzanine floor with a kingsize bed, accessible through a hand-carved spiral staircase that encloses itself around a tree trunk – a true connection to nature.

Read on as we catch up with the property owner, Annabel Tremaine, who reveals all about its decor inspiration and why she chose Lusso…

What was the inspiration when designing and bringing to life The Tree House?

“As we were replacing an existing treehouse that had fallen into disrepair, the available space to work with was dictated by the original’s footprint and height, but we had scope to reconfigure the internal layout. We wanted to create a calming space that draws you in and embraces you from the moment you step through the front door; we used natural, organic and reclaimed materials as far as possible to reinforce the sense of being cradled by nature – the walls are insulated with sheep’s wool, a tree trunk forms the spine of the spiral staircase, the irregular wrought iron balustrade was inspired by a bird’s nest, and the bath is positioned in front of bi-fold doors which can be thrown wide open to allow the outside in. Ultimately, we wanted it to feel like a proper treehouse without compromising on comfort and luxury.”

What was it that attracted you to Lusso Stone products for use within the properties?

“I came across Lusso Stone while researching sanitaryware for The Coach House. I love both the look and the feel of Lusso’s stone resin products – the clean, contemporary lines softened by the smooth curves, and the warmth to the touch of the stone. I also thought that they were surprisingly good value. Subsequently, I was happy to discover how easy it is to keep the products in pristine condition and so, when it came to building The Tree House, we didn’t think twice about incorporating Lusso products again.”

Our Picasso makes the perfect statement, tell us why you chose this design and what it adds to the property?

“The Picasso is a classic design which I very much doubt will ever date – a clean silhouette softened by soft, organic curves, wonderful proportions, a satisfying symmetry and inviting softness that draws the eye and just makes you want to take a bath! Judging by our guests’ reactions, it contributes to that elusive ‘wow’ moment when they see either bathroom for the first time.”

The Tree House is the perfect example of exploring all that nature has to offer, allowing adventurers and vacationers to truly appreciate the outdoors while immersing themselves in ultimate grandeur. Would you like to stay here? Check it out and book your stay.
