Lusso Real Bathrooms: House at Willow End

We love scrolling through Instagram and finding inspirational bathroom transformations featuring Lusso products. As each project is different, it’s incredible to see all of the different visions that our customers have for their space. In our new blog series, we’ve decided to delve deeper into some of our favourite bathroom overhauls.

This month, we’re chatting to Rebecca Webster of @house_at_willow_end to find out how she turned a classic 70’s bathroom into a bohemian haven using Lusso’s brushed gold collection. If you’re not already following House at Willow End, you’re in for a treat! Rebecca is modernising her 1970’s 4-bedroom detached home, with plenty of upcycling, amazing decor inspiration and of course, her beautiful daughter Gabriella and dog Bonzo!

What was the inspiration for your space?

“It was when tiles started falling off the wall in our 50-year-old avocado bathroom we knew it was time to say goodbye to the 1970s and update our mid century bathroom. Finally able to unleash the interior designer in me, I aimed to achieve a modern boho look which was bright and fun, but classy. After picking the bathroom suite, next on my list was tapware. I wanted to be sympathetic to the era of our home and find taps with clean lines that weren’t too fussy and, I wanted them to be brushed gold.”

Why did you choose Lusso?

“When I came across Lusso I was impressed with their range for several reasons. Firstly the taps met my brief, they looked slick and simple. Secondly, not only did they offer a brushed gold range, but they also offered bolt on’s in the same finish such as the bottle trap and bath/sink click-clack, that’s sink and bath plugs to you and me! After searching other brands, I found it very difficult to come by the bolt on’s in the same finish. Thirdly, I was really impressed that Lusso offered a 15-year guarantee with their product. After much deliberation, I took the plunge and made the order. When they arrived, the packaging was impressive as was their product. Finding the right tiles were next on my list which was a whole new journey in itself…”

We love the contrast between the brushed gold Lusso fixtures and the muted tones used in the bathroom. The flashes of foliage and contemporary tiling brings space together perfectly and we can’t wait to see the next transformation in the House at Willow End.
